“গুরু কৃষ্ণ রূপ হন শাস্ত্রের প্রমাণে।
গুরুরূপে কৃষ্ণ কৃপা করে ভাগ্যবানে”॥
সে গুরুতে মর্ত্ত্যবুদ্ধি অবজ্ঞাদি ত্যজি।
ইষ্টলাভ কর, নিরন্তর নাম ভজি॥৩॥

শ্রুতি, শ্রুতিমাতা-সহ সাত্বত পুরাণ।
শ্রীনাম-চরণ-পদ্ম করে নীরাজন॥
সেই শ্রুতিশাস্ত্র যেবা করয়ে নিন্দন
সে অপরাধীর সঙ্গ করিবে বর্জ্জন॥৪॥

নামের মহিমা সর্ব্বশাস্ত্রেতে বাখানে।
অতিস্তুতি, হেন কভু না ভাবিহ মনে॥
অগস্ত্য, অনন্ত, ব্রহ্মা, শিবাদি সতত।
যে নাম-মহিমা-গাথা সংকীর্ত্তন-রত॥
সে নাম-মহিমা-সিন্ধু কে পাইবে পার?।
অতিস্তুতি বলে যেই—সেই দুরাচার॥৫॥

কৃষ্ণ-নামাবলী নিত্য গোলোকের ধন।
কল্পিত, প্রাকৃত, ভাবে—অপরাধীজন॥৬॥

নামে সর্ব্বপাপ-ক্ষয় সর্ব্বশাস্ত্রে কয়।
সারাদিন পাপ করি সেই ভরসায়—
এমত দুর্ব্বুদ্ধি যার সেই অপরাধী।
মায়া-প্রবঞ্চিত, দুঃখ ভুঞ্জে নিরবধি॥৭॥

অতুল্য শ্রীকৃষ্ণনাম পূর্ণরসনিধি।
তাঁর সম না ভাবিহ শুভকর্ম্ম আদি॥৮॥

নামে শ্রদ্ধাহীন-জন-বিধাতা-বঞ্চিত।
তারে নাম দানে অপরাধ সুনিশ্চিত॥৯॥

শুনিয়াও কৃষ্ণনাম-মাহাত্ম্য অপার।
যে প্রীতি-রহিত, সেই নরাধম ছার॥
অহংতা মমতা যার অন্তরে বাহিরে।
শুদ্ধ কৃষ্ণনাম তার কভু নাহি স্ফুরে॥১০॥

এই দশ-অপরাধ করিয়া বর্জ্জন।
যে সুজন করে হরিনাম সংকীর্ত্তন॥

Dashavidha Namaparadha English Translation (The Ten Offenses)

The Harinam Mahamantra is the essence of all mantras, propagated in the world by the mercy of great souls. Never criticize or blaspheme those saintly devotees dedicated to the Holy Name.

Krishna, the son of Nanda, is the Lord of all Lords; even Lord Shiva and others are engaged in His service. The Holy Name is a wish-fulfilling gem, identical to Krishna’s conscious form. Do not consider His name, form, qualities, and pastimes to be different from Him.

“Scriptures prove that the Guru is the manifestation of Krishna; Krishna bestows mercy upon the fortunate in the form of the Guru.” Abandoning mundane conceptions or disrespect towards the Guru, attain your desired spiritual goal by constantly chanting the Name.

The Vedas (Shruti) and the Sattvata Puranas worship the lotus feet of the Holy Name. One should strictly avoid the association of that offender who blasphemes these Vedic scriptures.

The glories of the Holy Name are praised in all scriptures. Never consider these praises as mere exaggeration. Sages like Agastya, Ananta, Brahma, and Shiva are constantly engaged in chanting its glories. Who can cross this ocean of the Name’s glories? One who calls it an exaggeration is a miscreant.

The holy names of Krishna are the eternal wealth of Goloka (the spiritual world). Those who consider them to be imaginary or mundane are offenders.

All scriptures say the Name destroys all sins. But one who commits sins all day relying on the power of the Name to erase them—such a foolish person is an offender. Deceived by illusion (Maya), they suffer perpetually.

The incomparable name of Sri Krishna is an ocean of full spiritual mellows. Never consider it equal to mundane auspicious activities (rituals or karma).

A person devoid of faith in the Holy Name is deprived by destiny. Instructing or giving the Holy Name to such a faithless person is definitely an offense.

Even after hearing the boundless glories of Krishna’s Name, one who remains devoid of love for it is the lowest of mankind. One whose heart and exterior are filled with ego and material attachments will never realize the pure Holy Name of Krishna.

Conclusion: By completely avoiding these ten offenses, the virtuous soul who performs the congregational chanting of Harinam (Sankirtan) attains the unprecedented pure love of Sri Krishna. The Supreme Lord, in the form of the Holy Name, eternally revels in their heart.
